Brain Rot Chess is designed to learn whether the product is useful without building an advertising profile about you.

What stays on your device

If you play without signing in, your current rating, chosen learning path, streak history, and recently seen puzzle IDs stay in your browser. Clearing this site’s data removes them.

Optional accounts

If you choose Google or email sign-in, Supabase stores your account identity and a copy of your chess progress so it can follow you across devices. Google sign-in gives us basic profile and email information only; it does not let us post to your account or access your files.

What the app stores

We store random device and session identifiers with a small set of fixed events, such as starting a path, attempting a puzzle, using a hint, and completing a session. We do not put your email, name, free-form text, or IP address into the product analytics database.

Puzzle reports

A report stores the puzzle ID, one reason you select, a timestamp, and—when available—an authenticated account ID. Reports never ask for free-form text. Hosting and network providers may process ordinary connection metadata to operate and protect the service.

Data source

Imported puzzles come from the Lichess open puzzle database under CC0. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
